Because of Ewe Rug Hooking Pattern

This is the pattern that began my journey to having an online store. It was hooked for part of the sheep challenge at the Sauder Village Rug Show in 2015. I dedicated it to my good friend, Pat Mensing. Without her expert tutelage in hooking, emotional support during a very dark time in my life, and a constant source of encouragement, I can truly say I would not be where I am in my life today without her. Pat, this is all Because of Ewe!

Pattern is drawn on rug warp or linen, your choice. Inside square with all the sheep measures 12″ x 12″ then I add a plain border of 3″ all around for a total size of 18″ x 18″. I kept mine at the original size of 12 inches square, but it could easily be made into a pillow, or all the little sheep could be made to represent grandchildren! The original rug represented the ladies I hook with led by the main ewe, Pat!
