Red Rose Kit for Cindi Gay’s Rose & Monarch Pattern

Description

Cindi Gay has opened a class for her pattern “Rose and Monarch”. You will need to buy both the course  and pattern from her by clicking on the links. Cindi ask me to dye the wool for a kit to accompany her class.

The kit includes 1/2 yd. of a light spot dyed wool for the background plus 1/16 yd of a shadow wool, 1/2 yd. of either a light spot dye for the sashing and pillow back or 1/2 yd. of a dark spot dye for the sashing and pillow back, a 12 value swatch of red rose (going from a pink to a very dark red), an 8 value swatch of yellow/green for leaves, an 8 value swatch of green and an 8 value swatch of hydrangea wool.

The only choice you need to make is for the sashing and pillow back. The wools for these are dyed from the same recipe as the 12 value rose swatch, so they match it perfectly. The light sashing is shown on the left in the picture and the dark sashing is shown on the right.
